Our Story

The people making it happen

Andrew Carney

Co-Founder

Andrew has created the strategies underpinning some of the world’s leading events. He was a member of the founding team of Plural Strategy, including launching the US office. Prior to that he was a strategy and pricing consultant at AMR International.

In 2018, Andrew created pricing analytics that found an opportunity to double profit within two years on an event. This led to the founding of Smartxpo, the leading pricing SaaS platform for the events industry. He has led projects including redefining a business model for a leading events organiser, defining product packages for one of the largest events in the world, identifying new product and sector opportunities for the world’s largest event organiser and developing strategy dashboards.

In 2022, Andrew co-founded Clusivity, a SaaS company designing tools that actively enhance workplace inclusion.

Meera Somji

Co-Founder

Meera has a background in events strategy consulting with Plural Strategy Group. During her career she has worked with the world’s leading event organisers to identify and assess growth opportunities. Meera has led large-scale research projects, covering onsite and post-show interviews and surveys with exhibitors, sponsors and delegates. She has supported organisations to launch in adjacent sectors and geographies, develop 1-2-1 and hosted buyer programmes, acquire portfolios, and grow digital products.

In 2019 Meera joined as Senior Manager to lead the Customer Success team at Smartxpo. Meera led the roll-out of Smartxpo’s price optimisation software across Emerald Expositions and Informa’s EMEA portfolio. Collaborating closely with event leadership teams, she has helped teams to create new pricing models using AI and machine learning data science.

In 2022, Meera co-founded Clusivity, a SaaS company designing tools that actively enhance workplace inclusion.
